I grew up in the times of growing your own vegetables, fresh eggs from the hen house, picking blackberries, plums, grapes, figs and peaches. With that also came the taste of my mother and grandmother’s homemade cakes, pies, jams and jellies. But over the years I had forgotten the deliciousness of homemade because I had gotten used to so many store bought items.
I explored and discovered that I could do a lot more than what was taught to me as a child, such as making my own granola, making jams out of other fruits that we did not have, and homemade applesauce. Out of the yearning for homemade, and wanting to go back to the days of making things from “scratch”, Sweet Indulgence was birthed.
